I am going to be a critic to one of the first amp costing more then my house .
ok , this amplifier costs a fortune , for what ?
For having the merit of being the first in its kind , so called total dedication to high end , hand wound silverfoil capacitors and transformers , this was the time all was silver , remember the B&W silver line of speakers .
This amp has almost nothing that i like ,
the 211 tube is not my cup of tea , clearly inferior to 845 for audio , in PP you can get away with them but not SE
the 6072 and 5687 are really not worth even considering unless you have 10000 pcs of them costing you 1000$.
the tube rectification bridge limits the max high voltage , like this it is allready over its max specs .
The high voltage of 860 volts dc is really to low to get linearity and dynamics out of the 211 , this tube needs a minimum of 1000 volts and preferrably even 1400 to 1500 volts .
the heater supplys have no smoothing of current peaks ,
I would not want to own one in any case.
